Chapter 1281 Arthur's First Real Battle

Arthur showcased his insane durability and spear techniques to everyone. Despite how they thought his Dream Weapon, a mere spear, was quite the simpleton ability, it seemed that his incredible physical power and the sudden reveal of eye laser beams already turned the tables on his favor.

Katherine had an incredibly unique and rare Dream Weapon in comparison, she was able to summon six Light Spheres that also were made of glass, upon exploding, they would deal damage and also leave glass on foes which would hurt them a lot.

This, coupled with her ability to control them however she pleased through her mind, to be able to use them for self-defense and to block attacks, and for them being able to release beams of light from a distance made them a deadly and incredibly strong Dream Weapon.

Even more when it was put into consideration that even when broken, she could quickly recover them, summoning them again one by one!

Each Sphere had a small cooldown before she could summon them again, and because they were six, it always seemed like she had an endless supply.

However, Arthur decided to simply brute force his way through.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

After destroying and blowing up the five Light Spheres coming after him, he jumped into the skies to catch Katherine trying to keep her distance from him from above the skies.

"I got you."

His eyes glowed brightly, as lasers of sunlight were released, hitting the Light Sphere Katherine used and then blowing it up, making her fall from the sky.

BOOOM!

Katherine, however, instead of screaming, gritted her teeth tightly as she summoned six more Light Spheres. She stood over one of them with incredible dexterity, surprising Arthur, while the other five unified together.

"D-Don't underestimate me!" she cried furiously. "{Five Sphere Formation: Photon Laser}!"

By combining all five Light Spheres power and interconnecting them through projections of light, creating a pseudo formation, Katherine fired a gigantic, enormous beam of pure golden light against Arthur!

Arthur immediately knew that he would be knocked out if he tanked that attack head-on, rapidly falling from the skies, however, the beam only followed him closely, annihilating the ground and burning it as it chased him.

"Arthur!" Maria grew nervous as she saw her little brother about to lose. "Use everything you have! I know you can win!"

As she cheered for him, Arthur could hear his sister's words, he gritted his teeth, gripping his spear tightly and then unleashing his Aura completely.

FLAAASH!

Yin and Yang symbols appeared above his head, rotating constantly, and then fusing with his spear, suddenly transforming it into an enormous weapon.

Katherine vomited blood as she hit the floor, feeling one of her ribs gain little cracks, she started crying, but grit her teeth anyways, glaring at Arthur with hatred and frustration.

"T-This can't... No! I cannot lose!"

She suddenly resummoned all six Light Spheres once more, surprising him!

"That's enough, Katherine! You'll risk your life if you continue fighting!" Arthur said, striking the spheres from afar, as he avoided their explosive attacks.

"I can't stop, pretty boy!" she smiled while spitting blood and standing back up. "I have a family's... pride that I must protect! I have... I have to win no matter what!"

"That much?!" Arthur wondered, clashing against her endlessly summoned Light Spheres.

As the two battled, it seemed as if Arthur was being constantly surrounded by more and more and more Light Spheres no matter how many he destroyed there would always be more of them.

"This can't be good for her health...!"

He noticed that Katherine was beginning to bleed from her eyes and her ears, yet despite all of that, she stood up, glaring at him.

"I can't... I cannot... lose!"

"Seriously..."

Arthur sighed, looking at her in disbelief.

"I am not going to hit you anymore, that's enough."

"E-Eh?"

"I forfeit."

Katherine glared at Arthur in surprise, her eyes widening in disbelief.

"But you...!"

"I recognize you as someone stronger than me, you win, Katherine. It was a nice fight. Let me heal you now."

"Ah..."

Katherine blushed as Arthur held her hand gently, healing her body and wounds.

"Pretty boy..."
