Chapter 467: Luna’s Decision
Chapter 467: Luna’s Decision
Wig Guy: [Image] Gintoki, isn’t this a bit much?Curly-haired Guy: Katsura, we’re done from today! You scumbag, I must have had the worst luck in eight lifetimes to know you! Damn it!
Even though the current Sakata Gintoki had already defeated Zura, the source of all evil, the anger in his heart hadn’t lessened one bit. Not only had it not lessened, but his cheeks had turned even redder.
Here we go again, this jerk’s at it again!
Scarlet Lotus Fairy: ??? Gin-san, you’re a bit much, aren’t you? After all, no matter what, he is...
Lazy Kitten: No matter what, he’s your wife! How could you bear it? How could you bear it! You scumbag!
Curly-haired Guy: What wife are you talking about, can we drop this topic? Gin-san has never fallen for any woman, nor will he in the future! What you just saw was your imagination, entirely imagination!
Doujin Artist: That’s actually true. Our Gin-san never falls for women; he only falls for men.
Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Hahahaha, damn it! Eriri-chan, that’s a little too real.
Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: So, he’s not a wife, but a husband? You killed your own husband with your own hands and ground him into mince? Damn it, you have strange tastes! Very strange, brother!
Curly-haired Guy: Go to hell, you bastard!
Foul-Mouthed Mask Guy: No, no, no, it’s not good to curse like that! It’s very not good, pal. I suggest you brush your teeth more often. If you don’t have toothpaste, I can lend you some.
Amegakure Village’s Angel: Alright, Deadpool. Don’t keep provoking him. Gin-san is already in a bad enough mood today. Although he brought this mood upon himself, we shouldn’t push him too hard.
Lin Fengjiao: True, it wouldn’t be easy to clean up if he completely loses it.
Lazy Kitten: That’s true, he’s even scared of himself when he goes crazy.
Curly-haired Guy: That’s enough, really, enough! If you say any more, I’ll kick you all out of the group chat!
Doujin Artist: Ooh, what a terrifying threat!
Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Scared, scared! You can’t kick us out, Gin-san! What will we do if you close the group chat? We’ll really enter a terrifying time warp!
Lazy Kitten: Hahahaha, damn it! Ruiko-chan, you’re such a good actor!
Scarlet Lotus Fairy: Why not just leave the group? Wouldn’t that be more threatening?
Doujin Artist: He’s not that dumb. If he leaves, how will he enjoy the group benefits? Besides, even if he says he’ll close the group chat, he’s still secretly lurking. He’s played all these tricks before.
Lin Fengjiao: Speaking of which, is that Zura really dead?
Pretty Boy from Skull Island: He became mince, so he should be dead. But considering he does have all sorts of revival abilities, it’s hard to say.
Wig Guy: He’s probably not dead, or at least, only this body is dead. Because when Gintoki pierced his chest earlier, I didn’t see a heart.
Machete Girl: Eww, staring at someone’s chest? That’s Gin-san’s husband, not yours!
Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Hahahaha, this joke will last for two years!
Curly-haired Guy: Shut up, you bastards! That’s enough!
This is an Actor: That’s not how you ask for something.
Jellal’s lips curved slightly, and a faint smile appeared on his face. From his perspective, Sakata Gintoki had truly brought this upon himself. He had originally been lusting after the other person’s body, only to find out it was a disguised cross-dresser.
With such a performance, mockery was inevitable.
"Are you happy?" Luna suddenly asked from beside him. "Are you happy because your goal is about to be achieved, or because you tricked an innocent girl?"
It was clear that the innocent girl she was referring to was Hermione. Hermione was not in Jellal’s dormitory at the moment; she had already returned to the Gryffindor common room.
"It has nothing to do with that," Jellal shook his head. "Besides, I don’t remember deceiving anyone."
"Oh?" Luna blinked her eyes. "While I don’t know if your so-called resurrection altar can actually be built, its principle is based on equivalent exchange through sacrifice, isn’t it?"
Jellal raised an eyebrow, his gaze calmly meeting Luna’s.
"Are you going to silence me?" Luna asked with a half-smile. "You know I won’t resist you. Of course, even if I did resist, it would be useless."
Even after obtaining all of Ravenclaw’s memories, knowledge, and some of her power, Luna was acutely aware of the gap between herself and Jellal. This gap was not even describable in words; they seemed to exist on different dimensions.
"Don’t let your personality assimilate with Ravenclaw’s; be yourself," Jellal said indifferently.
He wasn’t curious about why Luna knew that the magic circle operated on the principle of sacrifice. After all, it would be strange if Ravenclaw’s knowledge base couldn’t even understand such an analytical diagram.
The R-system is essentially sacrifice.
It involves sacrificing magical life forms to transform them into pure elven crystals, which are then consumed to power the system.
"Although I know I should, I can’t control it," Luna gently shook her head. "This seems to be an instinct of my body and consciousness, not something I can decide. Perhaps you can cure me?"
"Not interested," Jellal turned his head, no longer wanting to deal with her.
Even without Legilimency, he knew she was bluffing. Ravenclaw’s main consciousness had long since dissipated. Where would instincts come from?
Her personality gradually leaning towards Ravenclaw’s was purely her own doing. Jellal didn’t try to find out why, and it wasn’t important.
"You’re really amazing," Luna said, realizing he had seen through her disguise. She asked curiously, "How did you use Legilimency without any spells?"
Jellal didn’t answer. Instead, he asked in return, "Since you already know the essence of the magic circle I created, why are you still staying here?"
"Why?" Luna seemed to ponder deeply for a moment, then replied, "Probably because I want to be part of your ending. Whether you destroy the world or the world destroys you, I want to witness it with my own eyes. This is Luna Goodrow’s decision."
"You want to become a witch reviled by the world?" Jellal raised an eyebrow.
"No, I just want to be the witch who stays by the Demon King’s side," Luna responded with a light laugh in her ethereal tone.
