Chapter 446: A Dragon’s Pride!? Don’t Push Such Trash On Me

Nora’s big, beady eyes, though filled with fear, also held a spark of courage. She stared up at the dragon, summoning every ounce of bravery she could muster. The dragon looked down at this ’ant’ with a mixture of interest and amusement.

"Interesting! So you are related to that trash-coward. His sister, no less." The dragon’s voice rumbled with a mixture of disdain and curiosity, a side smirk forming on its lips as a brilliant idea came to mind. It was going to use Nora as bait to draw Chiron out.

"Human trash!" the dragon shouted, its voice echoing through the devastated city. "If you don’t come out, I’ll take this little one’s life."

Chiron, hidden behind the wall, felt a surge of annoyance. He peered around the corner, seeing his sister standing before the dragon, tears streaming down her face.

"That Fool!" Chiron bellowed maliciously.

Nora stood there, shivering in the cold, her breath visible in the frigid air. Her eyes darted around, searching for her brother, hoping that he would come to save her. The dragon’s enormous form loomed over her, its icy breath turning the ground around her into a frozen wasteland.

The dragon, amused by Nora’s bravery and desperation, watched with cold eyes. It relished the power it held over Chiron and his sister. With a slight shift, it lowered its head closer to Nora, its frigid breath chilling her to the bone.

"Come out, Chiron," the dragon taunted, its voice dripping with malice. "Or watch your little sweet sister perish."

’Even we, dragons understand the bond of family. Considering he was even willing to save this little one back then, and sacrifice the demon in her place, he must definitely love her. Even I can tell this much. We Dragon’s are not the only beings with some level of pride.’ the dragon thought to itself.

And so it taunted happily. For a while, it looked as if Chiron would not come out. And the dragon was starting to get impatient again. However, a loud voice was suddenly heard.

"Hey ice breath, are you really not going to let my property go!?"

’Property!?’ the Dragon thought to the use of such a word for a person.

Nevertheless, it responded accordingly. "Yes, I won’t. I will only spare her life if you give up yours." It spoke, proud of its plan.@@@@

"Hahaha!!! Oh, I know." Chiron suddenly released one of the aura seals on his body. It was the one for Fear.

*DUM!*

It was like a blast from a very loud drum, only it had come in successive waves from Chiron’s body.

Instantly, the blast of fear held the dragon in place.

Chiron had stolen the Aura runes from the body of a true god child, marking them unto his own body forcefully.

However, he could only use one at any given time and it would be gone forever. As he was, he had already used Hope when he challenged the rainbow gods, and now, he was using Fear.

However, even this attack could only see its peak function if it was fueled properly, and that was exactly what he had done.

Chiron had fueled the attack with the death aura fed to him by the dead people of the city. In truth, from the momet that the Dragon had attacked him and he fled, this had been his plan.

After all, Chiron had been in the midst of his pillaging when he was attacked. He immediately realized that he could not face such a monster like a dragon alone.

However, he needed a solid plan. Remembering that a city was not so far away, he ran there.

Dragon’s were a very proudful bunch, they did not care about human lives, and as such a lot died. Unknown to the dragon, this was all food for Chiron.

Nora’s death just crowned it all. The final soul he needed to hit the mark he wanted.

This was the full blown blast of fear, a god’s power. Fear was not a physical attack. Rather it was a mental one.
