Chapter 231 - 231: Ch 231: Final Preparations

Apep held a pen with her tail and started to write on a paper. Her hand writing was so good that even some humans would feel ashamed after seeing that."Me want join mistress forever"

That was what she had written. It was not perfect but it was able to express what she wanted to say perfectly.

And after seeing this, Weiss started to think. Actually bringing Apep with her was not a problem at all. With her ability to control her size, carrying her was super easy.

She was strong enough to not be a burden in battle and also intelligent enough to not create any trouble on the road for the two ladies.

So it looked like she actually was the perfect candidate to bring along for the journey. But there was one big problem associated with that.

Apep was the leader of the beast and monster army that Weiss had created. There were quite a few beasts who had managed to reach the realm of a monster and had some intelligence. But even among them, there was no doubt that Apep was the most intelligent one.

So without her rulling and guiding the other beasts, the effectiveness of the beast army wound drop drastically. Obviously Weiss had trained quite a few humans to be good at directing the monsters but their performance was lackluster at best when compared to the way Apep led them.

And that was the reason why Weiss wanted Apep to be here. And with very simple terms, she also explained that to her.

After listening to what her mistress had to say, Apep suddenly froze. There were two desires in her mind which were fighting for supremacy.

One of her desire was to fulfil her mistress' wishes and lead the beasts here. Later on, she could get a lot of praises from her. And she also did not want to disappoint her mistress.

But as the same time, the desire to stay beside her mistress for ever was also super strong. Whenever her mistress went away Apep always felt bad. And now, her mistress was going away for a who knew how long. So Apep really wanted to throw a tantrum.

But she was scared that if she did something like that, her mistress would start to hate her and that was a terrifying thought. She never want something like that to happen.

As Apep was really struggling with it's thoughts, Weiss was basically able to read her emotions like an open book because of her super powerful senses. And as she learnt what this cute little pet and friend of hers was thinking about, even her cold face was able to produce some warmth.

Apep really wanted to be with her. There was no doubt about that. And even if this was going to be a little troublesome, Weiss decided to allow her.

She could make a few preparations to make sure that even in Apep's absence, the beast army would be fine. And for this, she just needed to train the other semi intelligent beasts well.

This was not an easy thing to do but to fulfill the wish and desire of a friend, Weiss was obviously ready to take this task head on.

So after making up her mind, she immediately informed Apep of her decision and permitted her to join her and Elise. Immediately the inner struggle of the cute little snake came to an end and she became overjoyed.

Seeing her worried and troubled feelings immediately changing into joyful ones, Weiss became satisfied with her own decision. What she had down was the correct thing to do in her opinion.

After that, as she went and informed everyone else about the decision to take Apep with her, she was met with wide spread support.

All the people of the castle had already seen how depressed Apep had been whenever Weiss was away. Her attachment to the mistress was insanely high. For that reason, they felt that Apep going with her was the right thing.

And Apep was also a powerful fighter and a very good scout. So her going with Weiss would give their mistress extra security. And what kind of loyal subordinate would not want extra security for their charge ?

So obviously, all of them were happy about this. And then following Weiss instructions, everyone got super busy with a lot of work. Now that a tough and hard work of taming the beasts properly had also been added to the list, the subordinates suddenly found that they now had little to no free time left.

But none of them were disappointed with this situation or complained about this. As long as they were doing something that was beneficial for their mistress, they never felt tired.

Just like that, as the Souran castle got super busy with the preparations, the team that was left behind in the Skepa territory returned and with them Elise's aunt Fiona also returned back.

Now that she was out of captivity and had even gotten some work to do, she was feeling very energetic.

And the guards who were accompanying her were all very amazing men with a lot of vigor, so her travel with them had been a very pleasant one.

As for what had happened to the two nobles who were trying to blackmail Weiss and Elise using her, their memories were altered by Weiss very thoroughly and they were made to forget about this while plot. But the effect of that was not super good and as a side effect, both of the men had became very forgetful.

Weiss was actually planning to kill both of them and even destroying their family was also in her mind. But for the time being, she was only fully certain about killing the two nobles and was planning to spare the family as long as they did not get in her ways.

Fiona was a very social lady and the current culture of the Souran castle was also perfectly suited for her current slutty self. So she managed to adapt to her life here quite quickly and even became very involved with various works.

And just like that, all the preparations before the journey was over and now finally, it was time for Weiss to leave for the search of magic.
