"It worked?"
Ryu, Daphne, and Cassandra watched in disbelief as the four of them defeated the floor master of the Water City!
Roy undoubtedly contributed the most.
The "Adventure" development ability, the Demon King's Armor, and the Elven Holy Sword fused with the Giant Slayer have brought his firepower to the level of LV.5 super long chant spells.
They killed Amphispina in one fell swoop!
Inside the cave, the four looked at each other and couldn't help but laugh; it was just too crazy.
Roy collected the magic stone dropped by Amphispina, forcing a smile despite his exhaustion. "Let's go back!"
The three girls nodded emphatically; only by returning to the surface could this expedition be considered a complete success.
Amphispina's azure flames and Roy's final "Burning Sky" cleared away the surrounding monsters, and the group helped each other out of the cave.
Roy's injuries were the most severe. He suffered extensive burns all over his body and was knocked away by Amphispina's head, breaking several bones. These were the most serious injuries he had ever suffered, bar none.
Next were Daphne and Liu, who risked their lives to buy Roy time.
The healer Cassandra, protected by the Goliath Cloak, was not seriously injured, but after casting more than a dozen healing spells, her mental energy was exhausted. Before she fainted, she saw the crimson flames emanating from the elven holy sword, confirming her prophetic dream, and a smile appeared on her lips.
"Noah heals all!"
Liu Xiao's face was tired. She chanted in a hoarse voice and cast a healing spell on Roy.
Roy took out the last two bottles of mental potion, tossed one to the elf girl, and drank the other, otherwise he would also faint from exhaustion of mental energy.
Even so, Roy still felt very tired; the potion was just a potion, not a cure-all.
When injuries and mental strength reach a certain level, the effect will be greatly reduced, especially for those who are on the verge of death and are almost ineffective.
The same applies to restoration magic.
Daphne carried the unconscious Cassandra on her back, while Ryu and Roy acted as the front and rear guards. The group headed towards the upper passage, killing the monsters that appeared along the way.
As Roy was about to return to the 24th floor, he noticed out of the corner of his eye that in the depths of the rushing river, on a reef, a beautiful mermaid girl appeared, gazing at him like a waiting-for-husband rock.
While Miss Ryu and the others weren't paying attention, Roy gave them a grateful smile.
On the way back, Roy already knew how Liu had found him. Mari saw them running around on the twenty-fifth floor, calling out to Roy.
So they secretly left behind seashells, guiding them on the right path.
Upon receiving Roy's response, a pure and innocent smile appeared on Mary's face. She leaped into the water and swam freely and joyfully.
Roy and the others' journey home continues.
The dungeons are incredibly intelligent, almost as if they possess wisdom. They like to bare their sharp fangs at crucial moments to weakened adventurers who are exhausted from exploring them.
The walls are crumbling, and monsters are emerging in droves, threatening to keep Roy and his companions trapped in the dungeon forever.
Roy had lost count of how many monsters he had killed; his face was numb as he relied solely on instinct to slash and kill the monsters around him.
Exhausted, they were even less inclined to collect magic stones.
Liu led them forward, through six floors, and out of the tree passage on the eighteenth floor.
Upon seeing the crystal ceiling on the eighteenth floor, Roy, Daphne, and Cassandra's tense nerves relaxed, and they could no longer hold on.
Completely in the dark.
Rivera town, hotel.
When Roy opened his eyes again, he was greeted by an unfamiliar ceiling, but his consciousness quickly returned to normal.
"Get up now that you've rested enough, don't delay my business!" said Perth, a middle-aged adventurer with a muscular face and an eye patch.
Roy glanced at the other person warily and began gathering information. "How long have I been unconscious?"
A hint of astonishment flashed in Perth's eyes. No wonder this guy dared to take on the floor master, Amphisbina, with four people; he was practically insane. "Three days!"
In a short time, Roy completed his information gathering. This was the Rivera Town Hotel. Daphne and Cassandra had already woken up. He had been unconscious the longest, lying in bed for three days and three nights.
He was indeed seriously injured.
Roy felt like his whole body was falling apart if he moved even slightly. He heard that Ryu and Cassandra had been casting healing spells on him for the past three days.
Roy asked, "What's the cost of the accommodation?"
Perth said irritably, "Consider it my treat. Next time you come, I'll rip you off big time!"
Roy killed the enhanced mermaid and saved everyone in the expedition team. He also has his pride; if he dares to take money indiscriminately, the others won't let him off the hook.
As for the cave, the bodies of the adventurers Roy killed had been completely burned to ashes by Amphispina's azure flames before Ryu and the others arrived.
This also saved Roy the trouble of explaining.
"Kid, well done!" Perth snorted and turned to leave the room.
With Roy alone in the room, he had some free time and checked his own ability stats.
After clicking "Update", as expected, defeating the floor master, Amphispina, greatly increased his stats, with several attributes even surpassing those of veterans who had been at LV.3 for years.
There are also 1500 free attribute points as a system reward.
Name: Roy Level: 3
Strength: 611 (C)
Endurance: 685 (C)
Dexterity: 455 (E)
Agility: 631 (C)
Magic Power: 768 (B)
Development Abilities: Adventure (H), Abnormal Resistance (I)
Roy allocated his free attribute points, mainly adding them to the other four ability values.
After his magical aptitude was enhanced by the "Elf King's Blood," he didn't need to worry about his magic attributes at all.
Defeating the floor master, Amphispina, increases all stats by 1650 points, and the system rewards 1500 free attribute points, for a total increase of 3150 stats!
Presumably knowing from Perth that Roy had woken up, the blonde elf girl entered the room.
Roy, who had been resting with his eyes closed, opened them and met those sky-blue, jewel-like eyes.
Under the dim light of the magic stone lamp in the room, the two stared at each other for a long time before the elven girl finally spoke first, "I'm sorry, I was too flustered back then..."
"As long as I can survive, that's enough."
Roy shook his head, not out of panic, but because he was deliberately courting death. He enjoyed adventure, but that didn't mean he didn't value his own life, so Ryu's act of giving up the fight infuriated him.
The boy fought bravely, challenging enemies that seemed impossible to defeat under normal circumstances. His heroic figure was deeply etched into her mind. Liu pursed her lips, her voice trembling, "Will he be able to save me someday?"
In Roy's eyes, Ryu at this moment was a girl covered in wounds, not the LV.4 adventurer known to the world as "Swift Wind" bestowed by the gods.
"That day won't be too far off!"
Roy said firmly, knowing what the girl was talking about: the most terrifying nightmare left in the elven girl's heart—the dungeon calamity, Zagnat!
One day, they will defeat each other!
"Thanks!"
A tear glistened in Liutian's blue eyes as she reached out her small hand to Roy.
Roy was taken aback. Unlike the time he learned magic before, this time it was Ryu who took the initiative. Pure elves only allow people they approve of to touch their skin.
Liu's little face was rosy red, like an apple.
Roy had no evil intentions and grasped the small hand that the elven girl had extended in recognition of him.
