Chapter 671 - 332: Destruction Battleship
"We meet again."Li Ang raised his hand and glanced at the Celestial Blue Ring that was scorching hot.
Ivynis clasped her hands tightly before her chest, her expression complex: "Li Ang... ah!"
The maiden of azure didn’t expect Li Ang to suddenly reach out and grab her. Pulled in by surprise, her face instantly turned crimson, that snow-white face suddenly flushed, becoming vividly real.
She looked at Li Ang’s Demon’s Hand grasping her delicate wrist. He carefully applied force, letting the thorns avoid her tender skin.
Ivynis stammered as if she had forgotten how to speak, struggling immensely just to let out a mosquito-like low hum.
"Why, why is this—"
Li Ang released the Demon’s Hand with a smile: "Don’t mind, I just wanted to see if you’re real."
Ivynis lowered her head, the blush still lingering on her face. She never expected Li Ang’s abrupt action but wasn’t annoyed, merely sneaking glances at his Demon’s Hand.
"Since you’re here, does it mean the matters in the room are related to Jenocide?" Li Ang knocked on the door of the room.
In the paused world descended by Ivynis, there was no need to worry about the external environment.
This building, smaller than a typical factory, seemed to serve as a warehouse with quite a bit of space within, though its contents were unknown.
At the doorway, many Annihilation Knights stood guard, but their power came from the Annihilator. Li Ang suspected, if Ivynis desired, she could command these forces.
Therefore, even without her pausing the world, as long as she was present, Li Ang felt these guards posed no threat.
Perhaps it was the spiritual control capability granted by the Demon’s Hand; Li Ang felt he had a new insight into the existence form of the maiden of azure. It seemed unlikely she had the power to put the whole world on pause; if she did, Meimei and the others would stand no chance against the "Empire Witch."
She must have used some kind of Spiritual Manipulation Technique, producing an effect similar to Li Ang’s Acceleration Technique but several times stronger. It accelerated her temporary descent and the temporal perception of communication targets.
Yet he still couldn’t confirm the substantiality of her existence.
He himself was a bit surprised at the sudden action of grabbing her.
The Demon’s Hand seemed to diminish much of his self-restraint, leading him to act in uncharacteristic ways.
"Yes, I came here to... ask for your help with this child and me."
In previous sudden visits by Ivynis, she had usually come to assist Li Ang proactively, yet now she was asking for his assistance.
"You don’t seem to be in good shape."
Only now did Li Ang notice that despite the shyness induced by his earlier abrupt contact, the girl’s cheeks remained pale, even somewhat bluish.
Previously, Li Ang had compared Ivynis to Zoe. Besides resembling each other in appearance, they differed greatly in other aspects, the most apparent being their hair color and demeanor. Ivynis, with her exquisite porcelain-doll like aura, contrasted sharply with Zoe’s robust vitality.
Currently, she appeared somewhat frail, the bluish tint beneath her skin seemingly due to faintly visible veins, but Li Ang suspected a deeper reason.
Star Soul Greenhouse...
One must not forget that although Zoe now benefits significantly from the Star Soul most of the time, initially, her parents were terrified of its potential negative impact on her. Even on Satus Island, the Earth Serpent still existed and later, upon its awakening, sought to consume her power.
This indicated that the Star Soul didn’t solely bring benefits; in certain situations, there could be detrimental elements as well.
"I can still hold on."
Ivynis reached out to touch the door of the hidden room, and Li Ang felt the strong Star Soul fluctuation within.
Was it Jenocide?
Previously, this particular Star Soul, capable of traversing space, had also torn open a Rift Gate, placing part of its body within the shipyard, as witnessed by Li Ang and Xiaomo.
So what was inside this house?
"You want me to help you, including aiding the Annihilation Star Soul?"
"Yes."
Ivynis said, "These beings called Star Souls resemble free-spirited creatures, not standing out as part of this world. Nebis gently provided them shelter, but among those who know their truth, there are always people who wish for them to return to their original form.
The expression on the Maiden of Azure was one of wistfulness, an expression far removed from what a girl of her appearance could typically make. Compared to the vivacious and innocent Zoe, Ivynis’s melancholy and gratitude seemed almost like... a saddened mother?
"Anastasia, I can feel her newfound power, thank you, for treating her as a partner."
"Now we call her Anna, and she has assumed a human form."
Indeed, the mysteriously powerful Ivynis could sense Anna’s transformation; it was just unclear to what extent she understood.
"That’s very good, really good."
The Maiden of Azure touched the door, and a portion of the Annihilation Force within seeped out, seemingly sensing the maiden outside as well.
To Li Ang’s surprise, at this moment, the Annihilation Force did not manifest as black lightning but condensed into a mass, resembling a soft-bodied creature’s appendage, reaching past the doorway to meet the maiden’s palm.
The force inside instantly broke through the constraints, pushing open the door.
The world remained in a paused state; the door’s opening occurred in an instant, crashing into the Annihilation Knights outside. Since time hadn’t resumed, Li Ang had no idea how they’d react upon standing up again.
