Chapter 839: The position
Chapter 839: The position
"Are the preparations finished?" one of the six guardians asked. Even though the coven leader was standing so close to them, he still didn’t dare to raise his head to look at them.
"Yes, my lord. The moment you order, I’ll complete the last step. There can never be any problem in my preparation. I have given a very long period of my life to serve you all," the coven leader spoke, trying to please them.
"I hope your words don’t turn out empty; it would truly be unfortunate for you. Keep that in mind," the guardian who spoke this time was a different one. He threatened the mighty and arrogant coven leader openly.
"I won’t disappoint you. I have made all the preparations to bring that girl to you. The only bothersome factor is a single vampire.
Although he seems to be strong, I have already measured his limits— not that it matters. Even if my estimate is wrong, there won’t be anything he could do to stop me," he spoke arrogantly, a twisted smile on his pale face.
"I only need to see the result. You’ll obtain the position you so much want," another guardian spoke.
Even though the coven leader could hear them, it felt very strange, as if he wasn’t actually hearing them normally from his ears but feeling the vibration from the air.
What he didn’t know was that none of the guardians had actually said a single word so far. Their mental strength was so strong that just a thought would materialize itself and then transmit towards the vampire.
In the next instant, the six guardians disappeared, and the coven member was left standing there. It wasn’t until a few minutes had passed that he finally raised his head.
He had been waiting for this moment: to get the seat of one of the guardians, sacrificing hundreds of thousands of lives— even the vampires who were part of his family.
But once he reached that level, everything would be worth it. No price is too big as long as he could achieve his goal.

"Mother, please help me. I’m begging you. Do you really wish to stand there and just watch as my life breaks into pieces?
Even Father betrayed those 100 Gods who had only come here because of his invitation.
He was ready to sacrifice it all just for my happiness. But you... don’t you love me? Don’t you care about my happiness?"
Damuda spoke to her mother, her voice as broken as it could get. As an additional effect, just a single tear came out from her right eye.
Aya looked at her daughter’s face. Her heart ached looking at Damuda’s sorrowful expression. For a moment, she wanted to step forward and embrace her and then just agree to all her demands.
"Thank you, Mother. I knew you loved me the most and would do anything for me. There is no mother in the world who would just watch as their child’s life breaks to shambles.
But even among all the parents, I doubt there could be any parents like you both," Damuda spoke, flattering her mother.
There was a reason why she was being so desperate to push her mother towards Jayden. Since she had strong feelings for him, she would obviously feel very jealous whenever another woman was with him.
Damuda was compromising even with the fact that Jayden already had several women in his life.
But despite her extremely jealous nature, she kept pushing Aya into his life, first to show her sincerity and to try to control Jayden in some way.
Because of her madness towards Jayden, she was even willing to use her mother.
After Jayden had finished absorbing all the divine energy, he just stood there for a while, feeling all the strength filling up his being and observing the growth of the World Tree, which had grown to more than a meter and a half.
After he was finished, Jayden slowly landed on the cloudy floor and turned his gaze towards the two beauties, who were both looking back at him with completely different types of gazes.
Goddess Damuda had an infatuated look on her face as she gazed at him with an intense and passionate expression. On the other hand, Aya’s face was a mixture of emotions—confusion, guilt, refusal, and even a blush could be seen.
She felt embarrassed, so before Jayden could come near them, Aya walked away from there, leaving the two newlyweds alone.
After seeing Aya walk out of there in a hurry, Jayden walked towards Damuda. While he was busy absorbing the divine energy, a part of his mind was busy observing the Nether World, so he didn’t hear their discussion—not that he was much interested in it.
"So, Damu-" Jayden was just about to say something when Damuda interrupted him suddenly, as she circled her arms around his neck and spoke:
"I had thought so hard and long about what to call you. But I won’t like it if you just call me by my name. We are husband and wife now, so you have to give me a sweet and lovely pet name that only you will use."
"..." Jayden looked into her eyes while feeling a little headache. All the women wouldn’t be happy to suddenly have an additional member in the family.
And if they saw Jayden calling her with a separate name, their jealousy would rise up to the sky. But this crazy wife of his didn’t seem like she would stop until he had given her a name.
