Chapter 445 445 : Peace Meeting (1)

The first rays of the sun filtered through the curtains of the mountain villa, painting the room in a soft, warm light. Das stirred awake, the serene beauty of the morning view before him a stark contrast to the complexities of his life. The persistent ringing of his mobile broke the tranquility, pulling him back to reality.

Beside him, Luna and Sheela were still lost in slumber, because of last night's action they were fully drained. The naked bodies of Sheela and Luna embraced him in uneven angles. His little brother pressed between their soft thighs.

Carefully, Das reached for his phone, trying not to disturb them. The caller ID displayed General Harries Singh's name.

"Mr. Das, I apologize for the urgency, but we need you at the Mumbai airport in one hour. We're leaving for the peace meeting," General Singh's voice was apologetic yet firm.

Das, fully awake now, responded with his usual calmness. "Understood, General. I'll be there."

After ending the call, he gently disentangled himself from the sheets and headed for a quick, refreshing bath. The water cascaded over him, washing away the remnants of sleep and preparing him for the day ahead.

As the shower water flowed on his head, last night action scene's flashed in his mind. A sweet smiled formed on his lips as he washed his head.

Dressed and ready, Das glanced at Luna and Sheela, who were just beginning to stir. He smiled softly, a silent goodbye, as he left the room. The ladies, now awake, followed him to the doorway, their eyes still heavy with sleep. They both began embracing and kissing him hardly without caring about their naked bodies.

"Stop it now. Otherwise, I might need to stay here for a bit longer." Eric muttered softly while pressing his hands on their backs as they hugged him on each side.

"Where are you off to in such a hurry?" Sheela asked, her voice sleepy.

"A peace meeting you could say. Duty calls," Das replied, his tone light but tinged with the gravity of the situation.

Luna, rubbing her eyes, managed a small wave. "Be careful, Das. We'll be waiting for you."

Das stepped off the jet, his senses immediately tuning into the charged atmosphere. The air was thick with the tension of impending discussions that could alter the course of hidden history.

General Singh, walking beside him, spoke in a low voice. "Remember, Das, the stakes couldn't be higher. The outcome of this meeting will decide the fate of our country and possibly the world."

Das nodded, his expression unreadable. "I'm well aware, General. Let's see what these families have to offer in the name of peace."

They were greeted by a small entourage, who escorted them through the verdant paths of the island to a large, imposing building. Its architecture was a blend of modern and traditional design, symbolising the blend of ancient lineage.

As they approached the building, Das could feel the weight of history and the burden of the decisions that would be made within those walls. The heavy wooden doors of the meeting room loomed before them, ornately carved and imposing.

General Singh paused before the doors, turning to Das. "This is where I leave you. You're the key to this negotiation. Good luck."

Das nodded, a slight sense of solitude setting in as he prepared to face the representatives of the hidden families alone. He pushed open the doors, stepping into a room that was a microcosm of the world's hidden powers.

The room was vast, with a long, ornate table at its center. Seated around it were the patriarchs and matriarchs of the Farus, Taurus, and Aries families, their expressions a mix of anticipation, skepticism, and veiled hostility. The air was thick with a sense of historic gravity.

As Das entered, a hush fell over the room. All eyes turned to him, the man upon whom so much depended. His reputation had preceded him, and his presence shifted the dynamics of the gathering.

Without a word, Das took his place at the table, his gaze meeting each of the family representatives in turn. In that moment, he was not just Das; he was a representative of a changing world, a mediator in a conflict that spanned generations.

For the two sides, he is an alley also an enemy. For Farus family Das's stand is still unknown. For Taurus family, Maya still believes Das is on her side. But for Das, all he wants is an immediate war.
