Chapter 212 Estefany
Chapter 212 Estefany
Persephone's gaze slid towards the white-haired boy as she watched the scene with a furrowed brow. Anthony seemed to be enjoying the combat, moving with deadly grace as his sword wreaked havoc on the group of students they had encountered in a secluded spot.@@@@
The ground beneath them darkened with spilled blood, a tragic and swift death that left all opponents lifeless within minutes, most with their heads severed or stabbed in the heart.
The cocoon of darkness surrounding them faded after the violent confrontation, revealing the grim aftermath of the battle. Anthony toyed with the rings of the fallen students in his hands, examining their contents with palpable interest. With a gesture of satisfaction, he separated two of the rings and handed them to Persephone, keeping the other three for himself.
"What can I say, they were unlucky to cross paths with us," commented Anthony with a touch of indifference, as if death and looting were simply part of a game. "Plus, they have good stuff," he added as he examined the contents of the rings with an appraising look.
"You're definitely enjoying yourself," said Persephone as she stored the two rings. They had spent a week trekking through the forest, finding nothing of interest apart from isolated spots that barely had the slightest chance of hiding a secret passage or trap leading to a relevant location.
They were about to leave the forest when, almost by chance, they stumbled upon a small lagoon next to a small mountain. This mountain had a cave on its side, and unfortunately, inside it lay the students. They didn't even know how they died.
The discovery had been unexpected, a sudden twist in their search that had led them to a place they didn't expect to find. Although the death of the students was a tragedy, they couldn't deny that the situation had provided them with a new set of resources to climb higher in the rankings.
She hid under a tree, among its roots, and looked inside her ring with a sigh of relief.
Inside the ring, the girl found a shining stone, a unique object she had discovered by pure chance in a ravine. Just below her feet, she had found a lever that, when activated, had teleported her to a place in front of a tree with a single fruit. Surprisingly, it was the same fruit that now rested in her ring.
She let out another sigh, carefully storing the fruit before lifting her head slightly and scanning her surroundings in all directions, making sure there was no other student nearby.
After a few minutes of hesitation, she decided to leave the place. The forest she was in was more of a swamp, with large roots forming intricate labyrinths and offering perfect hiding places. However, there were also stretches of mud that made it difficult to pass through.
She had been in that inhospitable place for three weeks and planned to leave today, but bad luck had struck her when she encountered the young white-haired girl.
The girl ventured into the swamp, walking silently for a few minutes, her pink eyes looking at another group of students fighting among themselves. During this time, she realized that some had formed groups, a total of 6 students were engaged in a fierce battle among themselves.
Estefany hid and watched in silence, trying to diminish her presence as much as possible: "It's an opportunity," she thought to herself, although she had a unique-grade material, it was still very little to climb in class, she thought about it for a few minutes, on the other hand of the 6 students, only four remained, two of them were already dead, her pink eyes looked at the two rings on her fingers.
