Chapter 166 Suffer
Chapter 166 Suffer
"Shit's already started," murmured Anthony, sweat dripping from his forehead. Seeing Ezequiel's inert body, although he enjoyed seeing him in that state, he knew he would end up the same way.
Edward, drawn by the excitement of the moment, carefully observed Ezequiel's movement as he lunged toward Professor Athena with determination, only to be thrown like a ragdoll moments later. Edward swung his huge axe over his shoulder.
However, his advance was abruptly halted just a few meters away, and in an instant, he was sent flying through the air, his body colliding with the ground with a dull thud. The impact was so powerful that even Anthony, from his position, could hear the sound of Ezequiel and Edward's bones breaking under the impact of the simple attack from the metal stick.
With a nervous smile, Anthony attempted to suggest stopping the fight. "I think it's too late. How about we start tomorrow?" he suggested, aware of the pain his companions had just experienced. He wasn't a masochist, and he could imagine the suffering those blows must have caused. However, Professor Athena's response left no room for negotiation.
"The night is still young, soldier. Come, let's play a bit," the professor responded with a soft, warm voice that contrasted with the coldness of her gaze. To Anthony, her tone was reminiscent of a motherly embrace, but her eyes revealed madness and raw coldness.
Gritting his teeth, Anthony approached the professor, moving his sword in an attempt to feint. However, before he could even react, he felt a cold impact on his side, followed by a stabbing pain that flooded his mind as his ribs seemed to shatter under the blow.
Surprise flickered in his eyes as he found himself airborne, and as he fell, his right arm cushioned the fall but also dislocated in the process. Anthony cursed at the ground, not understanding how it could be so hard, releasing a mouthful of blood: "Damn it, this hurts so much."
The worst part was the amused look in Professor Athena's eyes as she "assisted in training her favorite students," as if she enjoyed others' suffering. Edward swallowed dry saliva as he realized it was now his turn. His golden eyes settled on her, and he, too, began to fear a simple metal stick.
Charlotte's POV
As she walked through the hallways of the academy, Charlotte observed the other students with curiosity, but none of them caught her attention in the same way as those three: Anthony, Ezequiel, and Edward. Charlotte's mind kept replaying Anthony's words from the previous day, and each memory made her heart beat strongly in her chest.
Upon entering the classroom, she was greeted by a somber atmosphere that contrasted with the usual learning environment. She quickly identified the cause of the tension: the three outstanding students of the class, known as the teacher's favorites, wore somber expressions on their faces.
With dark circles under their eyes and an unusual stiffness in their postures, they emitted a palpable aura that filled the space around them.
Charlotte frowned as she made her way to her seat. Dressed in the same black skirt uniform she had worn the day before, she enjoyed wearing that unique garment in a class where few girls opted to wear skirts. As she settled into her seat, her eyes fell on Anthony, who seemed to be lost in his own thoughts. His normally impeccable white hair was a mess, and his gaze empty and lifeless.
Just as she was about to say something, a cheerful voice came from the front: "Good morning, students!" Professor Athena exclaimed with excitement. Charlotte watched as Anthony's body trembled slightly, and he stood up, while the other two students, Ezequiel and Edward, also stood up. "Good morning, teacher!" the three said simultaneously, and everyone in the classroom stared at them strangely.
"Good, you listened. You may sit down!" the professor nodded with satisfaction and became even happier as she looked with bright eyes at the three students, while the others didn't know what was happening.
