Chapter 898: All-Out Attack
Despite the intensity of the battle, Reina appeared to be handling the demigod-level Ground Dragon just fine.
For most creatures, the Fat-Burning Secret Technique had its limits due to the finite fat reserves within their bodies.
No matter how explosive its effects, it was designed as a short-term survival strategy, not a sustainable enhancement.
However, Reina was an anomaly. Her body contained an astonishing amount of fat compared to most creatures.
In her current state, her Fat-Burning Secret Technique could be sustained for far longer than expected.
Sein could not help but wonder: if Reina burned through all her body fat, what would become of her?
His curiosity, however, was not focused on her final appearance. What intrigued him was the potential to unravel new mysteries of truth.
With Reina’s constitution, it was plausible that once her fat reserves were fully consumed, her body might undergo unimaginable transformations—changes that could not be predicted through theory alone.
These mysteries would only reveal themselves through systematic study, perhaps back in the laboratory.
For now, Sein had a more immediate concern—survival.
Staying alive was essential for his continued exploration; death would bring an abrupt end to everything.
The Gumo Plane creatures swarmed toward him from every direction with a frenzied and menacing aura.
Among them were numerous high-level creatures, including two Rank Three elites and even a pair of demigod-level beings, their eyes blazing with hatred.
Fortunately, these two demigod-level opponents were relatively far from Sein, and closing that distance quickly wasn't feasible for them.
One of the demigods, a black-skinned Moknu, radiated an anger so intense it seemed to burn hotter than fire itself!
If looks could kill, Sein would have been riddled with holes by now.
Although Sein was confident in his own abilities, he was not arrogant enough to believe he could face so many opponents alone.
Previously, during the Wild Gorilla World War, he had effectively leveraged the sheer numbers of his plant and undead legions in group confrontations, gaining substantial rewards.
Today, however, the tables had turned—he now found himself the target of a group assault.
The massive thirty-thousand-meter-diameter space fortress hovering in the sky alone was already worth a fortune!
If another Rank Four or higher powerhouse from the Magus World were to appear here and witness the Gumo Plane native gods sacrificing themselves one after another in a desperate bid to seal them away, they would likely resign themselves to such a fate.
The Gumo Plane’s native gods, for all their determination, failed to grasp the true scope of Magus World’s power.
Even if they succeeded in sealing a Magus World powerhouse here, the news would inevitably reach the Magus World.
Once it did, allies, family, or even higher-ranking elders from the Magus World would undoubtedly mobilize to mount a rescue.
Unfortunately, this comforting notion held little relevance for the Tower Master of Dark Flame.
With Dark Flame’s poor network of connections, not a single Rank Four or higher mage would probably bother to rescue him. Even as he scoured his memories, no one came to mind.
The Ylli Knight Alliance, for instance, was out of the question. Though he had made a name for himself there and had even established a divine tower, it was also where he had accumulated the most enemies.
If the Tower Master of Dark Flame had not managed to cover his tracks with solid evidence, the knightly orders, led by the Grand Order of Darkness, would have already come for him long ago.
Dark Flame could not help but feel a pang of pessimism. If he were sealed here, not only would no one come to his aid, but many might seize the opportunity to ridicule him.
Never overestimate the nobility of Magus World.
Low-ranking knights and mages, like Sein, might be blissfully unaware of the darker undercurrents within Magus World.
But Dark Flame—a Rank Five mage who had clawed his way up from nothing—had seen those its ugly sides. He knew all too well the schemes and dirty tricks that lurked beneath the surface.
In Dark Flame’s jaded view, even the so-called “noble” divine towers and knightly orders were often worse than the black mages exiled to Blackhaven.
The Tower Master of Dark Flame’s unique character and cynical outlook on life had led him to the greatest crisis of his life.
Knowing he could not rely on the Magus World to send reinforcements to rescue him, he took matters into his own hands, trusting himself above all else!
“Begin an all-out attack! Target the center of Akre Plains! Unleash three waves of ‘Apocalyptical Death’ and sink this continent!”
Tower Master of Dark Flame’s soul command, seizing on a momentary imbalance in the silver law array, reached the command center of his thirty-thousand-meter-wide war platform hovering high in the sky.
“But... but... We still have a large number of knights and mages deployed across this battlefield on the plains... The ones stationed in the center are all registered mages of the Divine Tower of Dark Flame...”
In the operations command center, a gray-bearded demigod-level mage stammered, his voice trembling as he processed the unthinkable command.
