Chapter 805: Talents Of The Past

Hephaes, the centaur god, arrived at a great time.

When he crossed the massive space-time gate located in the southern region of Wild Gorilla World, a violent surge of planar law disturbance and a powerful shockwave swept across the entire plane from its center.

That was the battlefield of Wild Gorilla City, where seven Rank Six powerhouses clashed.

Five of these were from the Magus Civilization.

The two being besieged were, unsurprisingly, Wild Gorilla God and White Banisher Gorilla God.

As one of Centaurworld’s eighteen centaur gods, Hephaes was no stranger to Rank Six beings.

It had even attended a Magus Alliance Conference before and witnessed a few of the allied overlords.

However, Hephaes’ broad perspective and vast experiences did not bestow upon it the commanding presence one might expect.

Instead, it was a... cunning, opportunistic god who was quick to ingratiate itself with the powerful and exploit the weak.

As vouched for by the Maya Tribe, Hephaes brought with it a formidable force of two million centaurs—its very best subordinates.

To present itself in the most favorable light before the Magus World powerhouses, he decided against bolstering its ranks with weaker troops like minotaurlings.

Following the directions given by a Rank Four mage stationed at the spatial gate, Hephaes led its army northward to the combat zone controlled by the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring.

Tower Master Lorianne did not show up immediately to greet the new arrival.

It was not out of disregard but rather due to her involvement in entertaining other high-ranking guests—individuals of far greater significance than Hephaes.

Within the Verdant Spring Space Fortress, Sein, as Lorianne’s apprentice, was privileged to attend this prestigious reception.

Arriving at the Wild Gorilla World ahead of Hephaes were the esteemed masters of the Divine Towers of Radiant Thunder, Land Academy, Cipher, and Shadow, as well as the grand masters from the Orders of the Steel Fist and Thunder Knights.

These divine towers were all situated near the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring in Viridescent Land.

Gade had recently advanced to Rank Two, showing a pace of growth that nearly matched Sein’s.

Through conversation, Sein learned that Gade had also become the apprentice of the Tower Master of Land Academy—a highly respected figure in the Magus World who was even more experienced than Lorianne.

This Rank Five tower master commanded the respect of peers such as the Tower Master of Radiant Thunder, Oneille from the Order of the Fiery Molten Mountain, and Tower Master of Thunder Knights, who had just arrived in the Wild Gorilla World.

Within the ranks of Rank Five powerhouses, there were varying degrees of strength and influence.

The Tower Master of Land Academy stood out as one of the most formidable among his peers.

His higher seniority, coupled with his history of guiding and aiding others, had earned him significant respect from those around him.

Apart from Gade, Sein also spotted other familiar faces from the Divine Towers of Radiant Thunder, Cipher, and Shadow.

Among them were the twins from the Divine Tower of Cipher, who had once cursed Sein with their magic.

They, too, had become Rank One mages and apprentices to the Divine Tower of Cipher’s academy dean.

While Sein did not remember many from the Divine Tower of Shadow, Poppuri, the chubby female initiate who had performed well in the academy war, was the only one who left a lasting impression.

Though she had not been taken directly as an apprentice by the Tower Master of Shadow, she had become the apprentice of one of his apprentices, effectively making her the tower master’s grand apprentice.

These phenomenal initiates from back then had each carved out their paths, encountering opportunities and trials unique to their journeys.

Poppuri’s physical size had once seemed immense to Sein, but after meeting Reina, he realized there was always a bigger fish out there.

Standing at just around two meters tall, Poppuri appeared almost petite next to Reina’s towering figure, just like a little piglet beside a giant elephant.

With someone of an even more imposing figure nearby, Poppuri had no reason to feel self-conscious about her own size.

As a foodie, Reina did not care about any of that.

To put it bluntly, she had long given up on her appearance.

If Sein had not insisted on involving her in his body tempering experiments over the past few years, she would have been even bigger.
