Chapter 1262: Surprise Nightmare Demon Attack
Two Nightmare Demons had appeared out of nowhere, they resembled a pair of Onis. One was Red and the other was Blue, they were big, muscular, but had big fat bellies, their faces were of ugly demonic Onis, with sharp tusks and long white hair, alongside beastly yellow eyes.
They were indeed Nightmare Demons, their appearance, the ability to talk, and everything quickly pointed to that. And based on what I've read from the smartphone's news, it seems that they might begin to target the students before they even get inside the academy. I guess that's a smart thing to do.
But it's not going to fucking work against us, not at all.
"You chose terrible targets to ambush!"
Lucifer was right in front of them and was also the first to attack them. His claws quickly grew longer and sharper, covered on Abyssal Death Flames, as he pounced towards them.
"Begone!"
SLAAASH! SLAAASH! SLAAASH!
He slashed their faces with draconic strength several times, covering them on flames. The damage was severe, their eyes and noses were completely destroyed.
"Uuaaagghh!"
The two Onis screamed in agony as they tried covering their faces in pain. Nightmare Demons can easily regenerate their damage as they're made of Nightmare Essence, but when they take such powerful Magic Damage, it takes a bit more than usual for them.
As the Nightmare Demons agonized, we jumped to battle, we couldn't even let them get away! Lucifer, right after having slashed their faces, summoned his scythe made out of his flames, which was actually apparently part of his Dream Heart Weapon, and swung it against them.
CRAAASH!
"Aaarrghh!"
"Dammit!"
The Onis instinctively evaded the destructive attack, screaming angrily and releasing a powerful shockwave from their very screams, which attempted to push away Lucifer at the same time as they swung their giant clubs against him.@@@@
However, Lucifer summoned his draconic wings and protected himself from the Nightmarish Screams, quickly swinging his scythe and intercepting the club attacks of the Red Oni.
"Bastard! Why are you so damn tough out of nowhere?!"
The Red Oni screamed angrily, swinging his club several times as explosions of crimson flames erupted with each blow, Lucifer easily interpreted them and overpowered his flames with his own.
"Well, I'm a dragon after all," Lucifer smiled, summoning his dragon tail and then piercing the Oni's chest and stomach with its spear-like tip several times. "Compared to you, mere evil spirits, we Dragons are glorious beings much above you, pathetic concentrations of negative emotions."
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
"Graaarggh!"
The red Oni screamed in agony as he was riddled with several bloody holes, although he rapidly regenerated them, Lucifer sliced him into two halves with his blazing scythe, considered a Dream Weapon in this world.
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
"Nnngggh?!"
Countless cracks appeared through the Nightmare Core he possessed, his transformation only becoming halfway through, resembling a monstrous oni-shaped vengeful spirit made of blue
flames.
"RAAAHHH!!!"
He opened his jaws, swallowing Partner completely and trying to suppresser her within his
body.
A terrible mistake.
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH!
"GUGH?!"
Several crimson rays of energy surged from his entire body, until he inflated like a balloon and exploded, Partner unleashed a powerful Blood Explosion Spell and blew him from the inside
out.
"NNGAAARRGGH! BROTHEEERRRR!"
BOOOMMM!!
Once he exploded, he was unable to regenerate again, becoming fragments of crystalized Nightmare. His red-skinned brother met a quick death as well, as Lucifer didn't let him go, tearing through his arms, weapon, and then constantly burning him and piercing his body. Dragons were lethal beings, not just because they had breath attacks or were huge, every part of their body was like a weapon! Scales were mighty armor, their tail were like powerful and giant whips with spear-tips, their claws like swords that could slash through anything, and their bites held tremendous crushing force.
Even without completely transforming into his dragon appearance, Lucifer easily tore through the Red Oni Nightmare Demon and decimated him.
"AAARRGHHH!"
CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!
Until he was unable to regenerate as easily again and broke into countless of crystalized
pieces like his brother did, dying completely in that instant!
"A job well done," I nodded. "Looks like these losers couldn't even hold a candle... I think they were much weaker than you, Beatriz."
"Naturally! They're just the weakest of the Nightmare Demons. Do you think father will ever send the Elites to just fetch for Dream Hearts? He has hundreds of these fodders..." Beatriz said in her cat form, as she started eating them. "Hm? Oh, I think I can absorb their memories
like this, hehe."
